Fox Linocut
It's taken a few weeks but this fox is finally finished (though I'll probably tweak bits here and there). It's the biggest block print I've done so far and I've found it quite a challenge to print. The lino is about 12 x 16 inches, so not massive, but it wont fit under the press! So after fiddling around hand printing with different papers and thicknesses of ink my favourite is this one, which is on pale cream Hahnemühle. It's quite a thin paper and has some texture which makes it difficult to get a solid black (which I like in this case). I'll experiment a bit more before printing a small edition, and maybe see what he'd look like in red too.
